WHAT WE EXPERIENCED DURGIN FILMING

WHAT WE EXPERIENCED DURGIN FILMING

Paper works and desk work lasted for about 2 years and Sarıkamış / Handere preliminary preparation took 1 month. The shooting plan was made for 21 days, but the team's perfect adaptation and enthusiasm enabled us to finish the film in 17 days. There were serious difficulties, especially in outdoor shooting. The temperature felt in the night shots was -30 degrees. The temperature around Çıldır Lake was - 38 degrees. During the helicopter shootings, on the Çıldır Lake, the horse chased our horse sled and actors. Opening the roods where we will shoot the film lasted for days. The diggers and other machinery constantly worked. It was very cold, but we sweat blood. We carried the equipment on the icy roads because the vehicles couldn’t move on the icy road. The cinematographer was trying to lead the car with the shovel, and the whole team including the costumer was pulling the car out of snow. I know that everybody who has worked really hard on this project will never forget this experience as a human, then as a filmmaker. We are cold, but maybe you will get warm. We hope to be at the festivals first and in cinemas later.
